My pride and joy !  A C.M. Howes CW transceiver built from kits. The company has long since ceased to trade, however, their legacy lives on by  way of  this single band CW transceiver. With  around 3.5 watts output on 40 metres, it is an exceptional QRP rig.  Possessing a very lively DC receiver, included is a narrow band filter, RIT, preselector circuit, send/receive relay, sidetone etc. The circuit diagrams and components used make it a very simple task to troubleshoot. To date, it has performed without fault and I continue to be thrilled by its performance. You will note from the photograph above that I run a Datong FL3 filter box in conjunction with the output. This addition really sharpens up the audio as it both filters and amplifies to a very satisfactory level
